Management is about measurement and that is what you find in most management books, courses and even people.

Leadership though, is about inspiring people and that is something quite different and where real value is created.

Taking risk, pushing boundaries, knowing people, making connections, bringing about change, introducing new ideas and innovations, feeling the fear and doing it anyway and setting the standards that others must follow. That is the basis of leadership.

Management is a useful tool but it can be restrictive and claustrophobic. Leadership inspires and creates growth opportunities for all.
